The collection of petroglyphs found deep in the heart of Saguaro National Park is an incredible site, featuring over 200 ancient etchings concentrated in this area. This rock art was created by the Hohokam people between roughly 250 and 1450 AD and offers a tangible connection to their long-ago presence in the Sonoran Desert. On this particular spring evening in 2025, the sunset produced a dazzling display of light and color, painting a beautiful desert scene with the rugged backdrop of the Tucson Mountains. This stunning sunset image of Saguaro National Park was masterfully photographed by Arizona photographer Todd Stapleton, capturing this one solitary moment to be preserved, admired and cherished as a fine art image for a generations.
