Deep inside a remote canyon in southern Utah stands this magnificent sandstone structure known by several names, but simply as The Spire. As the sun begins its slow descent toward the horizon, the canyon walls and skies are illuminated in rich shades of gold and orange, creating an unforgettable scene, while the incredible spire itself lends the composition a dramatic, dark, and moody touch. This stunning moment in the summer of 2024 was beautifully captured by southwest photographer Todd Stapleton to be preserved, cherished and admired for generations to come.
