The badlands of southcentral Utah are the remnants of an ancient seabed, worn into dramatic forms over immense spans of time. The Bentonite clay has been sculpted and eroded by millions of years of wind, rain, and changing climate, leaving behind one of the most geologically dynamic and visually striking regions in the entire Southwest. When the sun rises and sets, the low side lighting casts pronounced shadows and reveals texture in ways found nowhere else, producing ethereal light and constantly shifting, highly atmospheric scenes.
